Floating UI Svelte Pre-Release Announcement! 🎉

Hey everyone, Chris here from Skeleton Labs. Hugo and I are excited to share that Floating UI Svelte is now available in an early access public pre-release! This means you can now install and try the library yourself. We're also launching a hefty update to our documentation and providing a number of new hooks for you to test.

What's New

• All documentation is now provided through directly from the website
• The Getting Started page now covers installation and highlights critical information for new users
• We've began updating and improving the Tooltip and Popover examples
• Several new hooks have have been provided and are documented under the API Reference
• A number of test cases have been ported from Floating UI React to help stability and parity

Installation

Warning

Please be aware today's update is an early access pre-release, meaning can and will encounter bugs and incomplete documentation, and should expect breaking changes going forward. We currently do not recommend installing or using Floating UI Svelte in a production project.

If you're ready to get started, there's two requirements:

1. Create a new Svelte 5 project (note: Svelte 4 is not supported)
2. Visit the Getting Started page and follow the install instructions.

How to Provide Feedback

The goal of today's release is to help foster early adopters to started generating feedback from you, are community. Please feel free to try out the library and let us know what you think. Please file bugs on GitHub, or reach out directly via the #floating-ui-svelte on our Discord.
