@ChaituVR ahh sorry was too quick to reply before. The issue we have is setting minimum voting period as described in the issue. Meaning voting periods can still be set variably when submitting new proposals, but not under the minimum allowed amount |
Oh yes! didn't notice the minimum part @bonustrack @samuveth Any thoughts on the minimum voting period? |
Coming back to this issue, @bonustrack what's your opinion on implementing an optional minimum voting period that space can define for the proposals? |
Briefly describe the feature.
Would be useful to be able to set a minimum voting period in space settings per created proposals
Which problem is this feature trying to solve?
The setting in our current space is when a community member creates a proposal they are free to decide what the proposal's start & end dates are. This is useful since we like to have some proposals open for e.g. 2 days and some 1 week. But this freedom of choosing start-end dates also introduces an unwanted behaviour where someone can create a proposal that only lasts for say 30 minutes. Which isn't a fair amount of time for people to notice it.
What is the expected solution?
We would like to have an additional optional setting that comes along with freedom of choosing start/end dates for proposals where we can define the minimum length of a time interval between the start & the end time.
How do you currently handle this problem?
We have minimum proposal length defined in our community guidelines and if that is not respected those proposals (even if they pass) shall be ignored. It isn't the most elegant solution but it works.
Anything else you'd like to mention?
