Can I license my kilo clone under public domain.
Do I have to license my kilo clone under a license compatible with the BSD 2-clause license?

The BSD 2-clause license is available here:
https://opensource.org/licenses/BSD-2-Clause

It states very clearly what you can do and what you cannot do.

If your work is 100% original work based on what you learned in this tutorial, you are free to distribute it under the license that you want.

If your work is a derived work of the kilo code hosted here, then it is subject to the BSD-2 clause license.
