https://github.com/snowplow/snowplow-s3-loader/blob/master/examples/config.hocon.sample#L87 seems to be an artifact from a previous implementation.

This config comment is very confusingly worded. It is trying to warn a user that the raw events must be lzo encoded, or else Snowplow batch pipeline will not be able to process them...
