Check whether we need to boost volume on the videos #1

James noted that the audio on SCALE videos on Youtube are lower compared to other videos on Youtube. We may need to boost the audio.

In many cases, I think this comes down to whether or not someone was actually using the mic properly.

So since we're already dealing with such a low quality sample rate, we'll have to be extra diligent in making sure we encourage proper mic usage. Perhaps we can print out notices to stick on the podium as reminders or something.

Remind them the mic is for the benefit of the live video stream, not just the audience in front of them.

Why dont we have A/V create a speaker check list that we print and post on the podium?

  • Use the mic for the recording/live stream.
  • Set your resolution to ____.
  • Stay with in the marked area to stay on camera.
  • Upload your slides once done.
  • anything else I'm forgetting.
