Computer version tool on sofa

Hi,
I am working on a project that uses SOFA to simulate the deformation of a guidewire. I need a software tool to manipulate the output images from SOFA, and I discovered a plugin called SofaCV that can perform this task. However, SofaCV was developed 5 years ago, and I encountered an error while compiling it with SOFA v24.06. The error indicates that the file sofa/helper/system/config.h is missing. This file was present in SOFA v20.12 but is not in v24.06. Does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

I want to capture the 2D image matrix similar to how SofaCV does it:

I guess you refer this SofaCV plugin. Indeed, it seems pretty old and not compatible with v24.06 anymore.
The included config file is now usually the following one: #include <sofa/config.h>
But it will take more than just this to compile this plugin.

For guidewire simulation, have you taken a look at the BeamAdapter plugin?

Thank you for your response. I have used the BeamAdapter plugin, but I need to capture the 2D image matrix within the onAnimateBeginEvent function. Do you know any other methods to achieve this?

Do you want a screenshot of your simulation ?
What do you mean by a 2D image matrix ?
Have you investigated the use of opencv though their python package ?

I need a way to capture a screenshot of my simulation at every time step and input it directly into a function for some manipulation. To my best knowledge, I know sofa can save a screenshot by sofaguimanager. But I don't want to save the screenshot every time step and load it to my function because it's very time comsuming. I'm looking for a solution, like SofaCV, that allows me to grab the screenshot without saving it.
