Try

knife softlayer server create -O WIN_2008-STD-R2-SP1_64 ...

and ERROR

ERROR: Chef::Knife::SoftlayerServerCreateError: Windows VMs not currently supported.

Hi there, Any update on this? it is now over a year and still no support. I appreciate you might not want to workout how to add all the boot strap support etc but could you at least enable the ability to provision just the instances? I already have the boot strap working through the portal using a provision script just would prefer to be able to use knife TIA

To be clear knife-softlayer, like the rest of the SoftLayer open source projects on Github, is sponsored by SoftLayer, but is not an official product of the company. Any "support" given will be at the discretion of volunteers, usually working on their own time. The project maintainers do welcome pull requests and contributions to improve the software are earnestly solicited.
