Dear ARC Community,
We trust you're doing great. Our team's been busy, as usual, cooking up some exciting stuff for ARC. In this month's newsletter, we've got a bunch of cool updates to share across all our branches: ARC API, ARC IaC, and ARC UI.
No more waiting, let's get to the good stuff!
🌐 ARC IaC
Seamless Deployment with ARC Lambda: With the latest updates in ARC Lambda Module, deploying services just got easier. In a single command, it automatically builds the container, pushes it to ECR, and deploys the Lambda with API Gateway.
ARC Lambda Expansion: As you might have observed, ARC is evolving into a more comprehensive framework. To support this and provide more hands-on experience, we've added practical examples for the Notification Service, Video Conferencing Service, and Chat Service along with others in the arc-lambda module.
SPA Deployment Made Easy: We've rolled out our Single Page Application (SPA) deployment module, simplifying the process of deploying your SPA to Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 and CloudFront.
New VPN Module: Enhance your VPN setup with our new terraform module for managing VPN configurations.

🔧 ARC API
Enhanced Swagger Customization: With the latest update, @sourceloop/core introduces a callback function in its configuration. Now, you have the power to modify or exclude paths from the Swagger spec received by the swagger-stats middleware.
SAML Authentication Bug Squashed: A bug in SAML Auth APIs was reported. But our team quickly jumped into action and fixed it. Keep those valuable reports coming!
Centralized Extensions Documentation: LoopBack extensions crafted by the ARC Team have found their new home on the ARC Docs site. Check it out here and bookmark for easier centralized access.
Expanded Provider Support for Archival Feature: The Archival Feature in our Audit Service now extends its support beyond AWS S3. It seamlessly collaborates with other cloud providers like Google Cloud, Zadara, Minio, and more, all working via the AWS SDK interface.

With column mapping support, you can effortlessly map Excel columns to database fields, saving time and eliminating errors in data migration.
Task Service: The Task Service will revolutionize task management within distributed systems. This reusable and customizable service creates actionable tasks based on events from different microservices, enabling workflow-based task handling.
Reporting Service: Our upcoming Reporting MS will enable aggregating information from distributed databases, offering a consolidated, customizable, and query-driven solution. Imagine configuring your reports and charts across multiple DBs with ease! Ensuring seamless data visualization and analysis with ACL to maintain personalization and data security.
Survey UI: Our soon to release Angular Library for Survey Components will include a question builder, user-friendly survey form, a comprehensive survey report and many other components to simplify survey creation, data collection, and visualization of the responses. Stay tuned for this new addition to our ARC UI ecosystem!
