About me:
I'm an Operations specialist/expert (formally known as IT professional) with experience and certification in various technology stacks (eg. Microsoft, Linux, etc). After moving to a DevOps environment as the Ops specialist, to interface with various 3rd-parties. I have learned a few languages (mainly Go and Rust, but learned a few others as well), which helps me in my day-to-day tasks.
I decided to go with Go (Schrodinger's pun), as it is simple and fast. And Rust for pure speed (C++ performance) with memory safety in mind. And I decided to reinvent the wheel with some tools, written in languages with poor performance (compared to other languages). As it seems it will never be done, due to business needs/reasons.
I did this to gain experience and knowledge in the languages. If I cannot understand the language by making something similar, but in another language, then I don't understand the language enough, to create something completely new and innovative. A philosophy which I employed in my years in IT, which led to me speeding up my problem/incident resolution skills.
Current projects I am working on:
Reasons for this sponsorship:
- To focus purely on the tools I am working on, and future projects
- Plan out new features
- To resolve current and future issues and surprise mechanics (aka bugs)
- Resolving current and future problems in today's tech environment
- Hire junior staff who wants to grow and learn (as I've learned, its difficult to get into the development field)
