Open Source if fundamental to today's world of computing. It runs the systems and makes up the tooling that developers use to create those systems.

I am a veteran of the computer industry, and working in the industry for nearly 20 years across many different industries using a variety of computer languages. In that time I have contributed in many different forms:

• helping others via mailing lists for projects
• helping via community forums
• contributing code
• contributing to architectural and community discussions

In that time I have created many of my own projects, such as Stack-In-A-Box which I release via my Test-in-A-Box GitHub organization, and also gotten involved in other projects, such as Vega Strike where I help the team with releases and technical guidance.

Funding I receive from here goes towards helping to keep the books balanced so I can continue to focus on supporting the open source community:

• Participating in online discussions to help make things better for everyone
• Building tools and systems that is available to everyone
