I have been developing statistical methods for analysis of genetic variation and accompanying open source software (see my publications and their impact on Google Scholar) for over 20 years. Throughout that entire time I have been a champion of open and reproducible science.

The software I develop is intended to empower researchers across the globe to perform high quality genomic science efficiently (in terms of their time and their compute resources) and robustly (in terms of providing rigorously validated statistical methods).

Open source software is developed for the public good. I am taking the unusual step of seeking your sponsorship because there are very few mechanisms for funding the development of open source software for science in Australia. Money you donate will be used to support university students I am mentoring in the processes of developing open source software for science.
