I created hololinked to ease the integration of control systems with web development, both for myself and others and in a way that may appeal to a non-software engineer and the python data science ecosystem.

• Device or Thing Catalog of existing implementations of vendor specific hardware (like camera from X manufacturuer) so that you can just copy code or pip install (this will be hosted in the project website)
• Support for Thing directories where you can store information about an existing Thing, like a phone book or map of "what is running where?"
• Documentation with a pedagogical technique of writing so that students, scientists & engineers in labs can learn this independently (apart from package docs)
• Remote Start/Stop script automation tool (both PyQt and JavaScript based)
• JSON viewer with HTTP SSE support
• PyQt based admin panels for those who dont wish to use web previews like the helper GUI
• Smartphone app to control your things in a generic fashion, kind of like the helper GUI
• Drag & Drop quick GUI/Visualization builder in material design
