I started to code when I was a young child in Italy; it was my world. I have learnt to code with the first home computer, the mythic Commodore Vic20, in Basic. At school I spent time to create application for MS-DOS: I liked to create applications with Basic and Turbo Pascal but soon I started to create professional applications with Clipper. I sold a lot of applications in Clipper for library, public regional offices for simplified the work load and schools.
When I was 19 and I finished school, it was the 1994. I opened my first company with two French guys and we created the first digital manual with FileMaker with Mac for the bigger energy company in Italy and the first multimedia CD in Europe for a chair maker.
I collaborated to create the first European search engine that was in competition with Digital Altavista. It was a very exciting time!
In 1998 I started my own company that I ran for more then 15 years. I used all the most cutting edge technologies, always. I created application for the biggest telephone companies in Italy in Microsoft ASP Script. With ASP.NET I created the early web application for hospitals, insurances, social-health sector.
With the economic crisis in 1998, it was difficult to continue and I decided to move to London where to be a developer is easy and people appreciate your job.
In the recent years, I created application with .NET Core and easily use of Azure. I love Xamarin and create apps with it and SkiaSharp.
I have a blog that I started 11 years ago called PureSourceCode where I collect my thought and try to help people sharing my code or how to.
