Update on Donations to the OpenSSL Project

As of 27 March 2024, the OpenSSL Project will no longer be accepting individual donations via GitHub Sponsors. As the OpenSSL Project has grown, we've been working to ensure the project's sustainability. Thanks to the addition of support customers through OpenSSL Software Services, we now have a much more stable and reliable revenue stream, allowing us to employ several full-time resources dedicated to enhancing OpenSSL.

We're grateful for the generosity our community has shown us through GitHub Sponsors. Your support has been really appreciated and made a difference.

We've kept some of the higher tiers (US$300 and above) as some of our corporate sponsors like to contribute via the GitHub Sponsors platform.

We encourage those who wish to contribute to the open-source ecosystem to consider supporting other projects in need; there are many Open Source projects that struggle for funding and could make better use of these contributions.
