This will work for flight timer. It will also warn player of unsent items from The Underground (optional?)
It uses localStorage instead of chrome.storage, as it seems to be faster and is easier to use in my opinion.

It is also worth mentioning that the time offsets has to be multiplied by 60seconds, either in helper.js or in background.js
