energygraph \- program to graph energy use in terminal window.

.SH DESCRIPTION
This manual page documents the
.B energygraph
command.

\fBenergygraph\fP is a program that that shows a live graph of energy usage.

It uses RAPL to read the energy use of different zones in the system.

.SH ARGUMENTS
This program does not take arguments on the command line.
.br
.SH GRAPH
The graph shows the energy usage in milliwatts.

RAPL zones are organized in a tree topology, where a parent zone can have multiple sub-zones.
Note that energygraph will display a parent zone with child zones in the same hue.

Check the legend for the colour mappings. Also note that top level zones are shown in capitals, and sub-zones in lowercase.

Common zone names that you are likely to encounter:

zone is for one entire CPU.

core
zone is a sub-zone of a package, and is for the CPU-cores on that CPU.

uncore
zone is a sub-zone of a package, and is for energy use that is not part of the cores. Often an integrated GPU will show up as uncore.
