Things left to do/test:

If the datacentre is started on another machine, logging a sweep takes about 30 seconds. It would be good to start this in a separate thread and not block the main application.
Logging individual images would be good for postprocessing and motion removal; size of individual sweeps could go up dramatically.

The credit to this fix is due to @zittix. This closes issue strands-project#51.

This is due to a bug in the mac version of libc++ and should be fixed in
HEAD. See here for a related stackoverflow post:
