With the block editor #1000 we have a GUI that produces a Subtext document under the hood. Ideally we want that Subtext Document to be beautiful when viewed with a text editor.

Pretty printed Subtext:

  • Blank lines between paragraphs
  • Blank lines between paragraphs and other block types
  • No blank lines between contiguous blocks of same type that aren't paragraph (e.g. contiguous list items should not have blank lines between.
