1) How to draft new contributors ?

  • Create incentives ??
    • Unique features
    • Early access to new features
    • Git storage (e.g. 3/5go) for backing up SuperMemo collections
  • Clearly state the need for contributors
  • Clearly indicate what and how contributors could help with

2) What contributions do we need ?

  • Coding
    • SMA
    • Plugins
    • Web platform
  • Documentation
    • SM (Writers proficient in English and SM)
    • SMA
  • Testing new bug fixes and feature releases (beta users)
    • !! This isn't simply using the software. We need some dedicated users who will specifically test the new features and bug fixes that are shipped out through a non-public channel
  • Creating issues systematically when an idea or a task is mentioned in the Chat room
  • Management
    • Triage issues
    • Community management
      • Teach users how to use and contribute to SuperMemo.wiki
      • Incite users to become contributors
      • Moderating the chat room
  • Record videos
    • Tutorial types with voice-over,
    • Trailer/short-clips types for documentation and to insert in tutorial types

I think we need to add SMA contributing guide as a todo https://supermemo.wiki/sma/#/refm-sma-contributing. I think we could probably reuse most of what we do for the supermemo.wiki guide alongside describing the stack SMA is built on and what you should know (C#) and where you can learn it to be able to contribute.
