The user can chose the interface language with the little flag icons in the user block. This does not change which language you currently edit content in. The content language flag block is only for chosing which language to edit, and does not affect the interface. This can be confusing. What can we do?

  • Caption next to the content language selection
  • Edit template to add tooltip (ideally in the original bundles, not here in the sandbox)
  • Show a flash message after switchung the user interface language
  • Hide away the interface language icons? (probably not on the login page, or maybe also not on the dashboard). But hiding them could make people looking for language switch click the content language switch instead.
