Telerik Backend moving to Kinvey

Does this app work with the new backend Kinvey or it has to be coded all over again?

Unfortunately, the Friends app works only with the now discontinued AppBuilder and Telerik Backend services. To make it work with Kinvey, you first have to convert the app from the AppBuilder structure to the default Cordova one and additionally, make the necessary modifications to make it work with Kinvey,
