We are going to be doing sanitization and maintenance on the tt-metal repo on Thursday, Oct 5 starting at 9pm EDT. We will update everyone once this is complete. It should not take more than a couple hours.
As some of you are aware, we have some sensitive history we need to erase as part of making our software open source. Because of this, we will be freezing the repository across all branches during the maintenance period.
All of us have a part to play in this. We all have to do the following:
Please doubly ensure you delete all local copies of the repo on all machines you use so we don’t have to repeat this. We will be monitoring the repo for base branch mismatches for some period of time to ensure there is no accidental push.
Furthermore, if you are an external developer, you will have your write access revoked starting at 9pm EDT. Your team must message me directly to have your access restored. I will be restoring access by team, for example I will restore all of Syrmia’s access in one operation. External developers include Moreh colleagues and all contractors, including Syrmia, MCW, and external developers working on the emulator.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you
Raymond
