When you install 12.6.1 on a Mac it will only copy hyperloop 7.0.9 for iOS and not for Android. The ZIP includes both version but after intallation the global modules/android/hyperloop folder doesn't containt 7.0.9
If I install it a second time and rename the folder it will install the missing Andorid 7.0.9 version.
Test:
delete global 12.6.1.GA folder
delete hyperloop android & iOS 7.0.9 folder if it is there
run ti sdk install 12.6.1.GA
check modules/*/hyperloop

@cb1kenobi got some feedback by people on slack that try to use hyperloop. Is that something you can look at? We had a similar issue before where it had issues extracting modules
