I really don't understand travis-ci, and it's a bad look having it running broken. It would be very useful, and I think also encourage people to participate, if we could get travis-ci back in the green. It would also be useful for improving project collaboration and workflow.

Okay, travis-ci is Green! I had to strip the config back to running only Python 2.7, but the install works and the tests pass! Woooohoo! I will try to get Python 3.4 working simultaneously, but there was a hurdle to getting them going at the same time.
