Not sure when this requirement was added but it would be useful to validate that the pass has at least one of the keys: "eventTicket, coupon, storeCard, boardingPass, generic, paymentCard, accessCard" as I was unable to open a pass without one of these being present.

From the mac pass viewer logs:
"Pass dictionary must have an entry for one of {eventTicket, coupon, storeCard, boardingPass, generic, paymentCard, accessCard}."
