We currently aim for the stable version Amidst v4.0. It contains support for many Minecraft 1.9 features and most of the features of AmidstExporter. It will be released as soon as Minecraft 1.9 is release.
Since we are not ready to include all features of AmidstExporter in Amidst v4.0, we plan to release another stable version Amidst v4.1, which includes all features of AmidstExporter.
The advantage of merging the tools is that it allows the users to use all functionality of both tools without installing both of them. Also, it reduces the development overhead.
