Device: Pixel 6a bluejay
Android version: AP4A.250105.002.A1, Jan 2025, EMEA
Magisk version name: https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/tag/v28.1
Magisk version code: 28101

Hello!

I tried to flash a full image to upgrade my Pixel 6a to Android 15 but the Magisk patched boot image causes a boot loop (while the stock book works fine when re-flashed and I can boot to stock unrooted easily).

Please note I went from this version 14.0.0 (AP2A.240805.005.F1, Aug 2024) to this version 15.0.0 (AP4A.250105.002.A1, Jan 2025, EMEA). AFAIK, choosing the EMEA or Global build does not affect the patching process.

I’ve done the process manually with a Batch Script to flash and patch boot, and also via PixelFlasher with the same results. I tried flashing back to the last Android 14 version (14.0.0 (AP2A.240905.003.F1, Sep 2024) but I get data corrupt errors (not surprised since it is a downgrade) so I’m stuck on Android 15 unrooted – anyone can help?

I’m using Magisk 28.1
See attached the adb logcat output when the bootloop happens and boot up crashes.

Anything else needed? Done this so many times so I'm stuck on troubleshooting options...
