After installation and setup Android still not working, but IOS is

Hello I am running rn 0.66. I've installed the package and on ios I ran pod install as it would not work without it (linking is now gone for 0.66). So it does work on ios. However even after updating index.js with the stated imports it still does not work on android (separate index.android.js and index.ios.js files are no longer a thing in 0.66). I get the SubtleCrypto not available error.
