Double, Tripple and now even quadruple watch sync for movies?

Recently (Since mid august) watched syncs have started to double, then tripple and now even quadruple when the sync mode is set to "full"

Only the first watch (the one with a playername attached to it) actually happened, the other ones did not occour.

The same happens when marking movies as watched in Plex, but there it seems to only create 3 watches

This affects all users on my Server who have a trackt account linked, not just the one user.

The issue only appers for movies, not series Episodes

This behaviour started around mid-August from what I can tell (I didn't notice until now)

Obviously this has completly messed up all my server statistics, so it would be great to find a fix or workaround for this.
Or maybe it is a misconfiguration on my part? My Sync settings look like this:
