• Finding CSS/HTML challenging still? Checkout out this tutorial
• Reverse-engineer one of your favorite websites to practice your HTML/CSS skills.
• CSS Zen Garden
• Experiment with Bootstrap.

Day 1

• Finish adding functionality to TaskManager by following this tutorial.
• Dive deep into how the web works to prep for tomorrow's class. This might seem like a lot at first, but it shouldn't take you more than 30-45 minutes.
• Read the "What is Rack" section (just the first one) in this article.
• Read What is 'Rack' in Ruby/Rails?

Day 2

• CRUD Robot World. Instructions are found here.
• Add basic styling to your Robot World. Timebox this!

Day 3

• Continue practicing with ActiveRecord here.
• Prep for tomorrow's Collaborative Communication session by reading these two (very short) articles:
  • Ask Questions Instead of Giving Directions
  • Mitigate Fault
• [Optional, but Highly Suggested] Work through the Routing Playground to learn more about Sinatra routes.

Day 4

• Research Capybara (a tool we'll be using tomorrow). The following resources are a good start:
  • The Basics of Capybara and Improving your Tests
  • Capybara (software) - Wikipedia
  • Testing your App with Capybara
• DTR for Bike Share. One group member should send link to forked gist to Casey.

Day 5 & Weekend

• Answer the Module 2/Week One Recap questions.
• Sign up for a lightning talk (if you haven't already!)
• Watch Sharif Ramadan's intro to 1NF, 2NF and 3NF databases. They're only about 4 minutes each.
• Suggested:
  • Read the Learn SQL the Hard Way book.
  • DevShed - An Introduction to Database Normalization
  • Mike Hillyer's Blog Post - intro to database normalization

• Extension: Experimenting with APIs: Work through this tutorial and workshop which will prepare you for extensions in your Rails Mini-Project and Little Shop.
• Send the email that you crafted in the Cold Outreach class on Tuesday to cold outreach contact; email [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected] with who, title, and company by due date due date 12/21/16

Day 4 & Winter Break

• Work on Rails MiniProject
• Write a technical blog post (post it on your personal blog or medium)
