When NVIDIA card is disabled on Tuxedo book, so using Intel's Power Safe Mode only, then tuxedofancontrol service fails to control fan correctly.
Tuxedofancontrol tool shows correct temperature, but a fan duty of only 10 or 12. However fan sounds like with fan duty of 50. When I stop tuxedofancontrol service during tuxedofancontrol GUI tool is still open, then GUI will show correct current fan duty It was about 48, then 30 and lower. It normalizes about 18-19. And fan sounds less noisy. But after starting tuxedofancontrol service again, GUI shows again fan duty of 10 and fan noise goes up.
After an upgrade of Ubuntu 18.04 to 18.10 I could not reproduce same problem. Howerver Ubuntu 18.10 is not an option, since there are other multiple problems.
Additional Information: It was necessary to reboot after changing from NVIDIA mode to Intel mode, to reproduce these behaviour. (Logging out/ in and restarting fan control might do the same however)
