The README seems to have been fixed with 51d4ead. gimcrackd.com has basically be replaced with twinery.org. Some of the twee documentation that was on gimcrackd can still be found on https://twinery.org/1/doc/ and some also made it into the wiki, e.g., https://twinery.org/wiki/installing_twee

I have no idea where one can find information or source on the earlier PHP5-based twee (through 1.3).
