Support for interactive elements in Paste Tooltips

Background

Messaging insights page in twilio console, requires the use of tooltips on the charting points as well as on the legend items present along with the charts.
So far, the tooltips implemented are custom. Now this page (which is served from a different legacy codebase ) is being migrated to the console zen repository.
As the entire page is being developed from scratch, would like to know if paste can plan something to support interactive elements like buttons, links, etc in the tooltips since currently the tooltips provided by the paste doesn't support such elements so far.

Wanted to know if paste team could plan something to support interactive elements like buttons, links, etc in the tooltips or if there is any other workaround that could be implemented for the time being.
I tried using popover and trigger them on hover, but seems like the popovers could be triggered only from click or keyboard events.

Hi @kgoeltwilio Thank you for coming to Office Hours. A short recap for context:

• We have a spike ticket in the next sprint where we will investigate on how to implement popovers in highcharts
• Do check if the checkboxes are failing a11y tests, since we shouldn't have interaction elements in the label
• For now, one thing you can implement is to use info icon on side of checkbox label to trigger popover
