Describe the bug
The trackpad isn't working quite well. While it is possible to drag windows with PRESS+MOVEMENT, it's nearly impossible to drag files when you have to lift the "moving" finger once. This is recognized as the end of the dragging/highlighting movement.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Put a file in the left corner of the dsktop and try to move the file into the trash bin in the dock. You need several attempts. Try to highlight longer texts where you stop with the moving finger, keep the touchpad pressed and start highlighting again.
Expected behavior
Don't recognize the lifting of the finger as a "stop" of the touchpad press.
Screenshots/Video
I tried to make a video. I think the behaviour can be seen best in the highlithing part of the video (middle/end). Like this it is not possible: https://youtube.com/shorts/O1ucMSWKp3A?feature=share
I'm already thinking about buying a 7th gen trackpad as a spare part which is made by ELAN and try to fit it into my 6th gen thinkpad... The touchpad is kind of useless like that for me because I'm a heavy dragger ;-)
I'm using the kexts from the repository. I also tried updating the Voodoo kexts but the behaviour stays the same.
Behaviour can be reproduced on two X1 Carbon 6th gen with 13.0.1 or 13.5.1

So, it seems that this has something to do with the NFC version if the trackpad of the X1C6.
Linux shows: "Synaptics TM3288-011"
It looks like this trackpad sends different signals as the one without NFC. I upgraded the touchpad firmware in Windows already, but that didn't help.
Also today, I received a x1c7 / 7th gen trackpad from amazon. It fits perfectly into the X1C6 but it doesn't get recognized by linux or macOs. It's like no trackpad is installed at all. Perhaps it's because of the touchpad? because of the cable (the cable says touchpad + nfc cable) or something else.
Unfortunetely I can't order a x1c6 non-nfc cable or trackpad on amazon, so it would be easier to check what's the problem. Perhaps I will order these parts on AliExpress... or I will stick to the T480s. Don't know so far :(
So if anyone has the same issue, this is what I've done so far:
Disable NFC module in BIOS
Disconnect NFC module from touchpad and mainboard
change touchpad to X1C7 version: fits perfectly but isn't recognized in any OS (could be the touchpad or the cable since the cable explicitly says: NFC-Version
