Fedora 41 added support for newer MIPI cameras.
I have confirmed that Fedora Silverblue 41 supports my camera in particular. However, Bluefin 41, based on Fedora does not seem to properly detect my camera. I get a black screen in the GNOME Camera app. I also cannot use my camera in video conferences using Chrome Flatpak browser. The camera is just not detected.
What did you expect to happen?
I expected the camera to work the same as when in Fedora Silverblue 41.

Do we know if any extra steps are needed for the flatpaks we ship? Did you use the firefox in silverblue to test the camera? On Silverblue it's part of the image but on Bluefin it's a flatpak.
I used the Fedora (as opposed to Flathub) Flatpak GNOME Camera (org.gnome.Snapshot) app to test. I believe that the app is preinstalled as a Fedora Flatpak on a new install. I also tested in the Flatpak version of Chrome on Fedora Silverblue.
I haven't tried any other distro, but it isn't working for me either on Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12. Black screen on Gnome Camera. I tried on firefox using https://mozilla.github.io/webrtc-landing/gum_test.html and got this weird selection:
And error "NotReadableError: Failed to allocate videosource"
