What is the default password for new users?

Create a new pi user. When installing the program, a password is required. Enter "sudo passwd pi" but it prompts: "Authentication token manipulation error". What should I do if I don’t know what the default password of the pi user is, and I can’t change the password?

should be the same as your lock screen password on the phone version as far as the pi version im not to sure
