PLEASE NOTE: there is more than one way to clone a GitHub repository to GitHub Desktop. This is the way Michelle does it but it's not the only way.
- identify the repository you want to clone
- open GitHub Desktop
- click on "Current Repository"
- click on "Add"
- click on "Clone Repository"
- enter the repository URL
- set the Current Repository and Current Branch
- fetch origin
- open in Visual Studio Code
For this example, I'll clone the uidaholib/iwi_source repository since I've never cloned that repository before. Navigate to the webpage so you have all the repository information on-hand while you work in GitHub Desktop.
