Could an alternative be to attach an RFID tag to each kit item, and convert them as a "media package"? That's what we "typically" do for multi-item material like DVD boxes with multiple DVDs or books with floppy disks or what have you :D Or do you think about parts that are too small for RFID tags, or where one tag per part is not practical for other reasons? More like a checklist to inspect when the item is returned without actually scanning each part? |
It is not allways an good option to tag every part of an kit, The checklist option is better. |
