this sdk does not support this behavior. does this conflict with the documentation? Is it possible to get full access to the api using the official sdk?

+1 to this. My app's request for production rate was rejected because the SDK doesn't seem to comply with Unsplash's own guidelines. Wondering does it mean that it is actually NOT encouraged to use this SDK?
