I am running windows11 arm on my MacBook and it works pretty good, much better then win10, but it has 2 huge bugs, the first one is just annoying the second one could get severe in some situations. The first bug is related to the performance off the virtual sound cart. No matter what I do I have an insanely huge audio latency like 500ms or a bit less maybe, needless to say for audio editing which besides that works good on the vm it is just annoying. The second problem is with forwarding usb devices. When I click the usb button and select a device it rarely ever works. I managed to connect a usb stick, my external harddrive that works perfect everywhere else and even the Mac can read it says device unrecognized. What is especially a bummer here when you regard the Audioprobleme plus UTM apparently not allowing microphone access on the Mac version is that it also refuses to communicate with my external microphone Samson go mic, which is also what I did in the debug log. The device gets somewhat passed through but windows doesn't react to it at all and it doesn't show up anywhere. This is also what happens when trying to connect an external keyboard. Any solution for these 2 bugs?
Configuration
Crash log
If the app crashed, you need a crash log. To get your crash log, open Console.app, go to
Crash Reports
, and find the latest entry for either QEMU, QEMUHelper, or qemu-*. Right click and chooseReveal in Finder
. Attach the report here. There was no crash.
Debug log
For all issues, including crashes, you should attach a debug log. Open UTM, and open the settings for the VM you wish to launch. Near the top of the
QEMU
page isDebug Log
. Turn it on and save the VM. After you experience the issue, open the VM settings again and selectExport Log...
and attach it here.the debug log produces an empty file.
Upload VM
(Optional) If possible, upload the
config.plist
inside the.utm
. If you do not have this, you can upload the entire.utm
but note this contains your personal data. Since Github has an attachment size limit, you may want to upload to another service such as Google Drive. Link it here. The vm is like 28gb and I can't store that anywhere.
