A language pack is a set of pre-trained Varnam Learning Files (VLF) that can be imported into any Varnam instance quickly. It has many words in it. It's basically a dictionary file to import words from.

Currently only Malayalam has language packs. Add at least 1 for others:

  • Assamese
  • Bengali
  • Gujarati
  • Hindi
  • Kannada
  • Marathi
  • Nepali
  • Odia
  • Punjabi
  • Sanskrit
  • Tamil
  • Telugu

How to make a language pack: https://varnamproject.github.io/docs/making-language-pack/

AI4Bharat has a public word frequency dataset for some Indian languages. Use it for adding a pack.

The documentation to create a pack is outdated. I'll need to update it first
