Acknowledgement of preliminary instructions

  • I have read the preliminary instructions, and I am certain that my problem has not already been addressed.

What problem did you encounter?

Pre-v1.7.8, Studio worked perfectly fine - dropdowns/sliders/selecting items in the explorer pane worked perfectly fine regardless of what monitor Studio was physically on, and easily 60FPS, almost never dropping. Now, after upgrading to 1.7.8, Studio has to be on my leftmost display, or else dropdowns, hover hints, menus, etc. will open disconnected from Studio and immediately close, making them effectively unusable. Plus, sometimes selecting items to expand children in the Explorer pane doesn't work unless it's on my left display. On top of this, I'm also having huge performance problems, e.g. a simple baseplate on the lowest graphics options available will sometimes drop to 3-5FPS for 10+ seconds at a time, and even moving the camera in Studio edit mode is slow (video attached.) The lag in the video is not the video or your machine - this is how Studio runs now, on the lowest graphics. Also attached is a video of tryign to use the + button to add children to an element, open a dropdown, or move a slider. These functions all work fine if Studio is on my left monitor, but not if it's on any other display. In case it could be the issue, my left display is driven by my Intel UHD Graphics 630, and my middle (primary) and right displays are driven by my Radeon RX 6600 XT.

I also have this issue described in #460:

Another issue I also encounter is when dragging things in Explorer where they sort of stay following the mouse even after I let go of the mouse button although that disappears once I move my cursor over the viewport.

Does the lag happen when you move your mouse quickly? I have to move it very slowly else studio just drops to <10 fps or just freezes.
