Force Option for responsive mobile menu

When using the leveled responsive navigation, a click on an element does not close the mobile menu.
For the current project I require the menu to be closed automatically when an element was clicked.
I already posted this issue on GitHub months ago, without any success:

If there is already a feature it is not documented, I would be glad if someone would correct me if I am wrong.
