After a few tests is seems clear that the 8Mp PiCam v2 is not fully supported(?) or am I overlooking something? Thus far I am unable to pull an actual 8Mp image from a server; RPI-3 with a v2 cam. All servers are fully updated/upgraded to the latest version of Raspbian & firmware.
Any future plans for support? Might there be an interim workaround?
kind regards,
Mike @ STEAMfruit
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
Compound Pi is dependent on picamera which will fully support the V2 camera module in the forthcoming 1.11 release (how long it takes me to update compoundpi with the new functionality after that, though, is another question - might be some months based on my free time at the moment!).
The actual work of supporting the new resolutions and modes of the V2 camera module is now done in picamera, but there's some ongoing encoding pipeline work pending.
