Project Description

Africa and Latin America’s massive, mobile populations are at the brink of web3 mass adoption, leapfrogging antiquated infrastructures to unleash innovation and growth. In 2021, Africa’s crypto payments increased 1200% and Latin America is the 6th region in crypto volume. There is a knowledge gap that Primero3 will address.

Primero3 is the world’s first decentralized online learning platform and marketplace revolutionizing access to web3 courses in Africa and Latin America. We seek to upskill students and help entire populations become fluent in web3 and related technologies, while we will enable instructors to reach a global audience and perceive additional income from becoming a globalized teaching workforce. We are NFT-gated to prevent course piracy, protect creator IP and revenues, and enable security. We are culturally aligned with people’s needs.

In addition, there is currently no community between instructors and students, or among students, or among instructors. We plan to use Lens to develop a community where both students and instructors can connect and exchange ideas, questions, and content. Lastly, we plan to innovate and add behavioral economics features for web3 educational marketplaces, communities and leaderboards.

Development Roadmap

Milestone 1

• Summary: Research and Documentation of the System's Architecture and Design
• Team: Fatma, Gabi, Busayo
• Budget: $1500
• Duration: 3 weeks

1.	Revise existing MVP	Outline existing functionalities and seeing how we can improve and extend them
2.	Benchmark similar models on web2 platforms	Checked out the models used by two popular course platforms.
3.	Research on Lens Protocol	Research on Community, Leaderboard and Content development on Lens Protocol and how we can develop our own apis and modules as well as accesibility as there are only 90K users on Lens at the moment
4.	Research on token-gating and monetizing techniques	Research on token-gated content that will enable learners to collect content and give access to instructors to monetize via Lens Protocol
5.	Documentation	Draft of documentation on how the system will work

Milestone 2

• Summary: System design and development
• Team: Fatma, Gabi, Busayo
• Budget: $4000 (We might need to bring in one front-end engineer)
• Duration: 4 weeks

1.	Course platform contract and marketplace development	Building and testing out the platform's contract and marketplace
2.	UI/UX	Designing the different modules. There are about 4 modules with several sub-modules
3.	Front-end development and contract implementation	Building out all other module components and integrating our contract

• Budget: $6000
• Duration: 4 weeks

1.	Front-end development of remaining modules	This part is where we integrate with Lens and LivePeer. So building the video, community and content curation module
2.	Building a Lens API	The API will be targeted on Educational content.-Build a course leaderboard using the API (giving stats and listing latest courses,most on demand courses)
3.	User testing (Behavioural economics)	Add mini interface around nudging student and providing incentives!
