Sennheiser HD6XX and AKG K7XX

  HD6XX deferentially need AMP, at leas [O2](Massdrop Objective 2 Headphone Amp: Desktop Edition)
  K7XX easier to drive, AMP not required, but is very welcoming, it benefit from it noticable
  The amount of detail that the HD6XX give, can be a little lo engaging. It is not good for background music, when you really need to focus on a work, not on the music. It is tiring for a long session. The K7XX is opposite - laid back sounding, more warmer, a little bit less details(but still a lot)

K7XX more suitable for background-work.
HD6XX is for purposeful music listening. One of The best audiophile headphones.

K7XX is lighter, but feel heavier than HD6XX, because of headband. Headband of K7XX put a bit(uncomfortable) clamp pressure on you head (if it small)

They both are the best in terms of audiophiles but requires a decent AMP. So they can not be put on an awesome-list.

Correction, AKG K7XX can work without AMP (but, still, it is highly recommended)
