Currently, the way intensities are calculated from temperature response functions is just to compute these in IDL and then store them as tabulated results in a file. The better approach would be to use the wavelength response functions for each instrument and then use a single predefined CHIANTI spectra to compute the temperature response.
There could also be the option to input a custom spectrum.
