Kap.app can't be closed on Sonoma, only shutdown via ActivityMonitor

Kap 3.6.0

Kap does not show up as a normal App where I can switch with tabulator between Apps, nor does it show up with it's own menu bar, it "doesn't exist". But it shows up with its icon in the menu bar on the top right side. Mouse click there do not open any menu. I can't "enter" the App, I must use Activity Monitor to hard shut down Kap.
