So far, I've had DR plugin in Kodi set up for anonymous access, basically drtv username and password fields are empty:

2024-10-08 19_33_19-DR-kodi

If then I click on Login I get:

2024-10-08 19_34_14-DR-kodi

... "logged in with anonymous user, this will stop working at some point in 2024 according to DR"

Well, I guess it stopped, because today is the first time I notice, that if I'm in any category other then Live TV, I get the following when I try to play any video:

2024-10-08 19_35_04-DR-kodi

.... that is:

API Error: There was an error while communicating with DR NU.
Please try again later. Error message is:
{"code": 8009, "message": "Ingen filer"}

This is from within Denmark. Live TV still works with anonymous user, however - for the time being, at least.

I guess there is nothing much the addon developers can do about this - but I still thought it would be a good idea to document this.
Other than that, it seems that it is up to users to now open an account ... :(

Does it work when you log in with a real user then?

We have recently had some issues with changes in the DR API that gave this 8009 error code, so are you on the latest version?

But elsewhere, yes at some point you need to login with a MitID approved DR account - political decided...

Thanks for the response, @TermeHansen :

so are you on the latest version?

It says it's on version 6.4.5 - so I guess it is the latest one at this time

Does it work when you log in with a real user then?

I haven't yet made an account, I'm busy with some other stuff at the moment, so not sure exactly when I'll have the time to get to it ... will report back once I've had time to go through the process, but cannot tell how long it will take me to get around to it, might be months.

Hi. Thanks for writing up this issue. I was getting the error described as well and logging in solved it. Br Eskild

Hi @TermeHansen

I get the same error, but I'm missing the login box's, and can see that I can only get version 6.2.0 in Kodi Add-on, and not version 6.4.5 as you wrote above.

I tried uninstalling and re-installing it but I'm getting the same version.

Is the version in Kodi obsolete, or am I doing something wrong?

@CarstenDennis then you must be on Kodi Matrix (version 19) still. Do you have a good reason for not upgrading and why I should make a release for such an old Kodi version?
Latest Kodi release is Omega (version 21) from April this year...

@TermeHansen - sorry - I didn't realize I had to update major versions manually - I've done it now and have the newest version of the DR TV app.

Thanks for pointing it out!
