This is the Mathematica notebook and literate python code I wrote for calculating the probability that a cosmic ray will hit a subarray, for a problem Roland Vanderspek posed. I also threw in a small latexit script for making small pdfs of LaTeX expression, which I used in inkscape to make diagrams of some geometry I did here.
I used SciPy/NumPy for performing calculations in the python code. I coded in literate Python, which means that I programmed in LaTeX and python together using Pweave. Pweave can be found here:
http://mpastell.com/pweave/
But you can install it on most modern Linux machines using 'sudo easy_install Pweave'
